Report: Javonte Green back with Pistons on 1-year contract

Green, who turns 33 this month, appeared in all 82 games (six starts) for the Pistons in the 2025-26 season, averaging 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 17.6 minutes per game. He shot a career-high 38.1% from 3-point territory.
Green took the long route to arrive in Detroit before this past season.
After four college seasons at Radford, Green played in Europe (2015-19) before signing as a free agent with the Boston Celtics prior to the 2019-20 season. He has been well-traveled since, appearing in 345 total games with the Celtics, Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers and Pistons. He has career averages of 5.7 points and 3.0 rebounds over 17.0 minutes per game.
